This role serves as the primary owner of assigned events and programs, ensuring flawless execution while building meaningful connections within the communities that shape our brand.

Working cross-functionally with Creative, Marketing, Retail, PR, and Brand teams, the Event Manager translates strategic objectives into impactful experiences that drive brand awareness, community engagement, and consumer connection. This role does not have direct reports but is expected to lead projects, influence stakeholders, and coordinate external partners and vendors.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Serve as the primary project manager for assigned events, owning timelines, logistics, budgets, vendor coordination, and operational execution.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local community leaders, cultural influencers, creatives, partners, and organizations aligned with the Mitchell & Ness brand.
  • Partner with Creative, Retail, Marketing, PR, and Social teams to ensure events authentically represent the M&N brand and business objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to elevate brand awareness through local partnerships, cultural moments, and community engagement.
  • Manage event production elements including venues, staffing, permits, equipment, transportation, catering, and guest experience.
  • Coordinate external vendors, agencies, and contractors to ensure timely delivery and execution of event requirements.
  • Support content creation efforts by collaborating on event-related photography, videography, and storytelling opportunities.
  • Monitor event budgets and expenses, ensuring programs are delivered efficiently and within approved financial parameters.
  • Lead on-site event execution, troubleshoot issues in real time, and maintain a high standard of professionalism and brand representation.
  • Measure event performance and provide recommendations to improve future activations and experiences.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, travel, and extended hours as needed to support events and campaigns.

What You Bring to the Team

  • 2-4 years of experience managing events, brand activations, experiential marketing programs, community engagement initiatives, or related experiences.
  • Demonstrated success independently leading events from planning through execution.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, budgets, and timelines simultaneously.
  • Experience coordinating vendors, venues, agencies, and external partners.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive alignment without formal authority.
  • Professional presence and sound judgment when representing the Mitchell & Ness brand in public-facing environments.
  • Ability to adapt quickly, solve problems, and make decisions in fast-paced event settings.
  • Passion for sports culture, heritage brands, community engagement, and experiential marketing.
  • Willingness to travel as business needs require.

What’s in It for You

  • Opportunity to own impactful events and activations for an iconic sports heritage brand.
  • Exposure to community engagement, experiential marketing, creative production, and brand storytelling.
  • Ability to build meaningful relationships across sports, culture, retail, and creative industries.
  • Opportunity to expand event leadership capabilities and progress toward senior-level event management responsibilities.
