Job Description

Job Title: Quality Control Supervisor

Function/Department: Quality

Reports To: Quality Manager

JOB SUMMARY & ACCOUNTABILITIES: 
Supervise, develop, and implement improvements to product quality and quality systems through assigned resources in the most efficient manner possible, using statistical techniques and continuous improvement methods.

• Coordinate resources to ensure that the corresponding verifications, tests, and inspections are carried out to confirm compliance with specifications.
• Work with the Quality Manager and Engineers on quality improvement projects.
• Train and assist operators in performing their quality control functions.
• Supervise personnel under their responsibility by providing the necessary tools, equipment, and training, ensuring assigned activities are completed on time and correctly.
• Monitor production operations and tools to ensure compliance with specifications and product quality requirements.
• Report problems or defects found during inspections, identify nonconforming products, and issue the corresponding quality alerts.
• Coordinate first article inspections for all processes involving new production runs, revision changes, and expired validations according to the inspection procedure requirements.
• Ensure inspection checklists are maintained in the QA database.
• Follow up on and resolve in-process quality issues.
• Train personnel under their supervision.
• Participate in internal and process audits.
• Participate in Tier meetings, complete the corresponding metrics, and propose improvement actions.
 

KNOWLEDGE: 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (education, experience level, skills, knowledge, certifications): 
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Experience: 2 years of experience in a similar position.
• Use of measurement equipment and tools.
• Blueprint reading and understanding of tolerances.
• Sampling theory.
• Basic SPC (Statistical Process Control) theory and personnel management.
