If you're looking for a place where your contributions have real impact, you’ll fit right in.We do not accept unsolicited resumes from third-party recruiters.Job DescriptionRESPEC is seeking a Water Resources Project Manager for our Tampa, Florida office.The Water Resources Project Manager will be involved with the management and technical execution of all types of planning, design, and specialty services related to public and private water resources, watershed, and stormwater projects. Responsibilities include:Manage water resources projects and provide technical leadership from planning through project closeoutDevelop business and relationships with clientsPrepare project scopes, schedules, and budgetsIdentify staff to work on projectsLead project teams and ensure the quality of deliverables, schedules are met, and the financial success of projectsAssist in hiring water resources staff to work in the Tampa officeCoordinate with team members, clients, and regulatory agenciesMentor junior staff and help them advance their careersSupport business development efforts and proposal preparationQualificationsRequired:Bachelor of science degree in civil or environmental engineeringExperience with municipal and private clients in Florida12-20 years of technical experienceProfessional engineer license in Florida or ability to obtain license within 6 months of start dateExcellent oral and written communication skillsProject experience including successful delivery of civil engineering planning studies, designs, and construction documentsPreferred:Experience in providing engineering services and project management in Hillsborough, Manatee, Pinellas, and Sarasota CountiesFamiliarity with development and design processes that are specific to Tampa Bay Area CountiesRegulatory/permitting submittals and processingTechnical writingClient interface and communicationsPractical application of various hydrology/hydraulics software (e.g. BMP Trains, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, HSPF, SWMM, StormWise, etc.)Experience in developing and guiding construction plan package preparationAdditional InformationCompensation: Salary depends on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.
