Job Summary

As a Content Developer, you will support the Teaching & Learning Science team in developing and maintaining high-quality science learning products and services. This role would suit an early-career professional, graduate, or career changer with strong attention to detail and an interest in content development, educational publishing and digital learning.

You will work with authors, suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure science content is accurate, engaging and aligned to learning outcomes. A science background is preferred but not essential. An interest in digital products and AI-enabled learning solutions would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, edit and quality assure science learning content.
  • Review content for accuracy, accessibility, inclusivity and educational effectiveness.
  • Manage relationships with authors, consultants and external suppliers.
  • Support customer research, user testing and competitor analysis activities.
  • Contribute to digital product development and AI-related testing and QA initiatives.
  • Respond to customer queries relating to existing products.
  • Support project delivery through effective use of content systems, workflows and schedules.
  • Assist with reporting, data analysis and continuous process improvement activities.

 

Skills & Experience

  • Strong attention to detail and editorial skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience in content development, editing, publishing, education or a related field.
  • Interest in educational content, digital products and learning technologies.

     

 

Qualifications

Essential

  • Bachelor's degree or academic background in a science-related discipline.

 

Desirable

  • Experience in educational publishing, content development or editorial roles.
  • Familiarity with CMS, XML or other content management tools.
  • Interest in AI and digital learning products.

 

Working Arrangements

This is a UK-based hybrid role. Candidates should be able to attend the Oxford or London office on an occasional basis, with approximately 1–2 days per week preferred.
