About the role:

The Access Control Analyst will be a member of the Global Security Technology Team and will serve as a resource to the overall Global Security Department. The Analyst will have primary responsibilities to manage all security access control badging-related services for GM Financial employees and vendors.   Secondary responsibilities include backup support for the administration of corporate parking and a wide range of support to the Global Security Technology team and other organizational components. The Access Control Analyst will also be responsible for assisting in the development of tools and solutions for business analysis and strategic planning, as well as reports and business metrics, using a combination of technical expertise and business acumen. This role is expected to evolve to support other security and corporate functions as needed.
 

In this role you will:

  • Responsible for printing all badges for GM Financial employees and contractors
  • Process and complete ServiceNow requests relevant to position
  • Create and manage all badge related training materials and governance documentation
  • Investigate errors and anomalies in the access control badging system
  • Assist with managing parking badges and parking validations at our Fort Worth and Las Colinas offices
  • Maintain inventory and re-order of badging supplies
  • Develop advanced dashboards for management use
  • Work with business partners to understand their data and metrics needs and to ensure data integrity
  • Partner with multiple clients through a combination of internal relationship management, applied business analysis and project management
  • Respond to ad-hoc reporting requests as needed to support organizational needs

Knowledge and Skills

  • Understanding of access control badging operations and systems/software
  • Advanced level of expertise using Microsoft Office suite
  • Knowledge or ability to learn Microsoft Power BI
  • Advanced problem solving and analytical skills to address complex reporting and metrics scenarios
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas into comprehensive verbal/written communication to gain broad organizational commitment and alignment
  • Knowledge required to independently plan, prioritize and manage programs that ensure compliance and continual improvement
  • Analytical mindset, with a high level of organization and effective communication skills
  • Be a problem solver with excellent phone etiquette and people skills
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain professionalism in stressful situations
  • Ability to recognize processes that can be streamlined and to implement approved changes to these processes accordingly
  • Strong capacity to conduct data analysis and research, with the ability to analyze, and recognize business trends impacting the Global Security organization
  • Advanced time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks to align with management’s goals and objectives
  • High degree of motivation with ability to work independently, as well as participate on team projects
  • Possess and demonstrate a thorough understanding of the effective convergence of people, process, and technology
  • Experience with process mapping and optimization
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in a customer service-related field

 

Work Experience & Education 

 

  • 2-3 years of experience with global security operations/access systems required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate Degree in related field preferred
