Accountabilities:

    The DesignOps Specialist will be responsible for strengthening design operations by improving processes, fostering collaboration, managing tools and resources, and enabling a scalable design practice across the organization. The role requires a strategic mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to connect people, processes, and technology.

    • Create and manage onboarding and offboarding journeys for designers, ensuring a consistent and engaging team experience.
    • Map team capabilities, identify development opportunities, and organize training sessions, mentorship programs, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
    • Act as a connection point between Design, Strategy, and Design Systems teams by managing contribution processes, adoption practices, and design governance.
    • Promote DesignOps culture across design, technology, product, and other business areas through workshops, events, and community initiatives.
    • Plan and facilitate collaborative sessions, research activities, workshops, and internal events that strengthen team alignment.
    • Build and maintain knowledge architectures, repositories, documentation standards, and operational guidelines.
    • Analyze and optimize end-to-end design workflows, identifying bottlenecks and implementing improvements from discovery through delivery.
    • Introduce automation opportunities to reduce repetitive tasks and improve team efficiency.
    • Manage the design tools ecosystem, including governance, integrations, licenses, and responsible adoption of AI-powered solutions.
    • Support budget planning and management for design tools, software subscriptions, external agencies, and operational needs.
    • Develop dashboards and operational metrics that demonstrate design efficiency, quality, and business impact.
    • Communicate the value of design through executive presentations, success cases, and data-driven insights.
    • Requirements:

      The ideal candidate is a DesignOps professional with experience improving design team operations, implementing scalable processes, and influencing cross-functional stakeholders. They should combine operational expertise with strong communication, strategic thinking, and adaptability in a technology-driven environment.

      • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Technology, Communication, or a related field.
      • Previous experience in DesignOps, design leadership operations, or similar roles within technology companies, agencies, e-commerce, or digital product environments.
      • Strong understanding of design processes, product development workflows, and collaboration models between design, engineering, and product teams.
      • Ability to think systemically and understand the broader impact of changes to tools, processes, and operational structures.
      • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to interact with senior leaders and executives.
      • Experience managing design tools, licenses, budgets, and operational resources.
      • Ability to lead change management initiatives and evaluate emerging technologies, including generative AI solutions.
      • Experience creating metrics, dashboards, documentation frameworks, and governance practices.
      • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate with diverse teams.
