Senior Program Manager- Vacuum Cell Technology

Position Summary
The Vacuum Cell Technology (VCT) Program Manager (PM) within the Quantum Sensing Solutions (QSS) group is responsible for the successful execution of development and production of leading-edge vacuum and vapor cell technology. This foundational technology is used throughout Infleqtion’s quantum focused applications & programs as well as sold commercially as a product domestically and internationally. The VCT PM will oversee a portfolio of internally funded research and development efforts (IR&D), development programs for internal and external stakeholders, and production of commercial. The core responsibility of the VCT PM will be to ensure execute and grow the portfolio to ensure stakeholder / customer commitments are met (scope, schedule, budget), structuring the execution for business growth, managing resources (people & labs), and communication of portfolio and program performance (cost/schedule variance, shipment / delivery projections, repair status, etc.). This role leads a multidisciplinary team, manages customer relationships, and drives program performance through effective planning, risk management, and communication.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the overall VCT program portfolio, ensuring successful execution of scope, schedule, budget, technical requirements, and customer commitments.
- Define program strategy, execution objectives, and growth plans while driving delivery in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Serve as the primary interface for customers, executive leadership, and key internal stakeholders.
- Own program performance metrics including delivery, profitability, customer satisfaction, schedules, and technical milestones.
- Lead cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, operations, and subcontractors to achieve program objectives.
- Develop, maintain, and manage program plans, budgets, schedules, resources, and execution baselines.
- Proactively identify, mitigate, and manage program risks, issues, opportunities, and corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, government regulations, company policies, and ethical business standards.
- Support business growth through capture planning, proposal development, follow-on opportunities, and strategic resource planning.
- Build and lead high-performing teams by fostering accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and employee development.
- Coordinate staffing, facilities, capital assets, and operational resources to support program success.
- Communicate program status, resolve escalations, and drive effective decision-making across all levels of the organization.

Working Conditions
- Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor.
- Experience in program and procurement management responsibilities optical, electro-optical, vacuum systems/components, and other custom hardware.
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully with demanding customers, difficult schedules, and technically challenging projects.
- Understanding of the risk and opportunity management process as related to program plan.
- Understanding of Change Control process to control, monitor and resolve internal and external changes related to Program plan.
- Program performance reporting status including program highlights, Cost Performance Index (CPI), Schedule Performance Index (SPI), schedule progress, technical status and Customer Relations.

- Familiarity with general government contractual requirements.
Requirements
- BS/BA in related field plus 10 years or more related experience.
- Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
- Experience with an ISO 9001 or AS9100 environment.
- Familiarity with fast-paced product development, New Product Introduction (NPI) and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) challenges.
Benefits
The targeted salary range for this role is $160,000 to $190,000 on an annualized basis plus eligibility to participate in our annual incentive plan.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
Work will normally be performed in an office, laboratory, production, and integration/test environment. The role may involve work around lasers, high-voltage equipment, vacuum hardware, precision mechanical assemblies, electronics, clean hardware, and test equipment. Required personal protective equipment will be provided and must be used in accordance with company requirements.
