Chemical Engineer I supports process design, simulation, engineering documentation, and process calculations for gas processing and PSA systems. The role involves preparing process engineering deliverables, supporting project execution, performing design calculations, and coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Key Position Accountabilities:

 

  • Assigned projects will involve one or more related Hydrogen processes and technologies and will include new and revamp unit designs project, studies, proposals.
  • Develop and update Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
  • Perform process simulations and evaluate operating modes, including Main Mode and SWO Modes
  • Prepare material balances, utility summaries, process descriptions, and process design summaries.
  • Develop PSA sequence charts, valve sequence charts, switchover tables, and control narratives.
  • Perform engineering calculations including PSV sizing and adsorbent calculations.
  • Prepare equipment specifications, operating manuals, performance test procedures, and noise summaries.
  • Support development of C&E diagrams, peripheral control diagrams, and process control summaries.
  • Assist with revamp studies, troubleshooting, process optimization, and fixed-price proposal activities.
  • Work closely with process, controls, mechanical, and project engineering teams to ensure timely delivery of engineering documents.
  • Follow UOP procedures for the release and revision of process and project specifications
    Make sure 'Quality' of all deliverables are met & also escalate issues in a timely manner.
  • Develop project schedule consistent with project timing requirements and availability of process specialists.
  • Attend / lead internal meetings and customer design review meetings
  • Compliance to Honeywell Policies including HS&E, HR, Legal Compliance, Intellectual Property Protection, Integrity & Codes of Conduct.

Basic Qualifications for the Position: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • 0–3 years of process engineering experience (fresh graduates with relevant internships may be considered).
