As a licensed e-money institution (EMI), we issue credit cards in 11 currencies across more than 30 countries, helping companies streamline and simplify payments.Learn more atwww.getpliant.comABOUT THE ROLE As Associate Product Manager - Cards, you will help shape the features and systems that power Pliant’s end-to-end card domain — from customer-facing card capabilities to the underlying infrastructure that ensures cards can be issued, managed, and used reliably at scale.Your scope will span both product experience and platform capabilities across areas such as:Card issuance and management experiencesCard products and configuration modelsCard lifecycle operations such as issuing, lock/unlock, expiration, and terminationTransaction processing and authorizationSpend controls and fraud preventionCard security and wallet/payment capabilities such as tokenization, PIN management, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Click to PayThis role is ideal for someone with first product experience who wants to grow in a highly relevant fintech domain that combines customer experience, backend systems, and operational excellence. You will work closely with Engineering, Design, Operations, Risk, Fraud, Compliance, and other product teams to help deliver reliable, scalable, and intuitive card capabilities.Success in this team means treating reliability and performance as first-class outcomes, maintaining clear and scalable domain logic, and building dependable card capabilities that other product teams can build on.This role sits within the Payments group of Pliant’s tech organization and reports to the Principal Product Manager responsible for the Cards domain.WHAT YOU’LL DO Support the roadmap and execution for Pliant’s card domain across customer-facing features and internal platform capabilitiesOwn smaller product areas and improvements end-to-end, from problem definition and requirements to rollout and iteration, with support from more senior product leadersPartner closely with engineers and stakeholders to translate business needs into clear requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteriaHelp improve card issuance and card management workflows, including the validations and business logic behind customer and internal experiencesContribute to core card lifecycle capabilities such as issuance, status changes, expiration handling, and termination processesWork on transaction processing and authorization flows with a focus on correctness, reliability, and low latencySupport the development of spend controls, fraud-prevention mechanisms, and card-security features that protect customers and reduce lossesHelp maintain a clear separation between product/domain logic and core processing services so the platform remains stable and easy to operateDefine and monitor KPIs such as issuance success rate, authorization success rate, latency, availability, and operational error ratesUse data, customer feedback, and operational insights to identify opportunities,...
