What you'll do
As the Head of Global Internal Communications, you'll architect and lead the global internal communications practice at Docusign. Docusign is at a pivotal moment - evolving from the #1 e-signature leader to the Intelligent Agreement Management company. This transformation requires reimagining how we engage our 7,000+ global employees.
As the Head of Global Internal Communications, you'll spearhead the end-to-end strategic narrative and programming that brings this strategy to life, ensuring every employee understands their role in our next chapter. In this role, you'll lead a team of 3 internal communicators to drive a best-in-class global internal communications function to support Docusign's employees, generate excitement and drive strategic alignment for Docusign's next chapter as the Intelligent Agreement Management company. You'll serve as a trusted advisor to our executive team and work closely with business partners to determine business goals and derive company-wide communications goals, strategy and tactics. You'll leverage AI tools and industry best practices to build scalable, high-impact solutions that curate the flow of information to the Docusign global employee base. You'll also manage the team responsible for supporting org-level communications for our Chief Revenue Officer and go-to-market teams. You'll need to be able to seek out information to support business goals, distill what you've found, create communications strategies, draft narratives and plans, and then execute.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Sr. Director, Corporate Communications.
Responsibility
Create internal communications programs and strategies, then execute on plans for the global Docusign employee base
Manage regular internal communications channels and events including company town halls, announcement Slack channels and more
Curate and streamline communications to the global Docusign employee base to maximize impact and minimize "noise," including through the development of new strategic channels and programs
Provide strategic counsel for Docusign executives to ensure our employees have the information they need to execute on our business goals
Be an expert in leveraging internal communications tactics to foster community, drive engagement, and help business units achieve business goals
Create communications plans and strategies that support business goals, while balancing the day-to-day demands of leading a highly sought out cross-company function
Work cross-functionally with key stakeholders, including Corporate Communications team peers, to execute proactive and reactive internal communications programs that strengthen Docusign's community and help our employees do their best work
Devise necessary communications narratives, campaigns, and materials
Job Designation
Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bring
Basic
15+ years of communications experience, including 8+ years communications leading internal communications
Experience with industry best practices and driving internal communications strategy to measurable results
Experience leading through company transformations, matrixed environments and employee sentiment in an evolving tech landscape
Experience leading high performing teams and mentoring talent at every level
BS/BA degree or equivalent
Preferred
Experience at public and/or global companies
Experience leading global teams in technology or enterprise settings
Excellent cross-functional leadership experience; proven experience thriving in a matrixed environment
Strong ability to advocate and influence at any level: from executives to peers to working teams
Strong copywriting and editing skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues in a clear and concise manner
Deep understanding of the best practices, programs and communications initiatives that successfully motivate and connect employees to business objectives
High emotional intelligence and excellent executive management instincts
A sense of humor
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to draft narratives and messaging that drive employee engagement and clarity
Flexibility and a bias to action
An excitement to dig into the work personally this is a lean and nimble team
Wage Transparency
Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:
California: $186,100.00 - $300,550.00 base salary
This role is also eligible for the following:
- Bonus: Sales personnel are eligible for variable incentive pay dependent on their achievement of pre-established sales goals. Non-Sales roles are eligible for a company bonus plan, which is calculated as a percentage of eligible wages and dependent on company performance.
- Stock: This role is eligible to receive Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
