Supervisory Acquisition Management Specialist

This position is located in the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), with vacancies in Juneau, Alaska; La Jolla, California; Long Beach, California; San Diego, California; Boulder, Colorado; Miami, Florida; Saint Petersburg, Florida; Honolulu, Hawaii; Silver Spring, Maryland; Gloucester, Massachusetts; Woods Hole, Massachusetts; Seattle, Washington. As a Supervisory Acquisition Management Specialist, you will perform the following duties: Oversee customer support services providing requisition, procurement, and acquisition support to Contracting Officer Representatives (CORs) and Field Delegates. Program, analyze, and control funds allocated for procurement. Evaluate acquisition procedures and systems to develop and implement changes in support of efficiency and effectiveness of operations. Develop tracking and surveying mechanisms to determine deficiencies and subsequently develop training and instructions to inform staff knowledge and procedural gaps. Plan and distribute work to be accomplished by subordinates. Evaluate the work performance of subordinates, providing technical oversight and instruction and addressing poor performance as part of the performance process. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: This position requires the submission of a Financial Disclosure Form, SF 450. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal Acquisition Certification (FAC-C) Contracting Officer Level-I certification must have a minimum of 25k warrant and ability to acquire up to $150k warrant.
