As a Project Manager - Facility Engineering Support, you will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of complex construction and facility engineering projects supporting high-profile government operations. Accountabilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for government stakeholders, providing leadership on all project execution, personnel, and contract-related matters.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of construction and facility engineering projects, including planning, scheduling, execution, closeout, and post-construction support.
- Manage project schedules, staffing priorities, resource allocation, and contractor coordination to ensure timely and successful delivery.
- Review design documents, technical submittals, construction schedules, and project documentation to ensure quality, compliance, and contractual alignment.
- Develop solutions for construction challenges, operational issues, and unforeseen site conditions while minimizing project risks.
- Support acquisition activities by preparing Statements of Work (SOWs), Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs), technical evaluations, contract modifications, and related documentation.
- Monitor contractor performance, quality control, project milestones, budgets, and regulatory compliance throughout all phases of execution.
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, government personnel, and project stakeholders to maintain alignment on objectives and deliverables.
- Prepare executive reports, project updates, performance metrics, and briefings while supporting quality assurance initiatives and progress meetings.
- Foster a culture of accountability, safety, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence across all assigned projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent relevant professional experience).
- Minimum of 10 years of project management experience supporting commercial or government construction projects.
- Previous experience supporting the James J. Rowley Training Center (JJRTC), including facility engineering, campus operations, infrastructure modernization, or construction management.
- Strong knowledge of secure government facilities, construction standards, acquisition processes, and federal project delivery.
- Experience preparing acquisition documentation, including SOWs, IGCEs, technical reviews, and contract administration materials.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, manage multiple priorities, and deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
- PMP certification or an equivalent project management credential is preferred.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with experience managing project risks and operational challenges.
- U.S. Citizenship is required, along with the ability to obtain and maintain government facility access credentials. Experience supporting the United States Secret Service and possession of an active DHS or DoD clearance are highly desirable.
