As a Demi Chef de Rang - Banquet, you’re not just supporting event delivery – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.
Here's what you'll do during a typical day:
- Prepare event setup operations: Execute mise en place and back-of-house duties including cleanliness, dishwashing, restocking supplies, and organizing linens, beverages, and equipment
- Set up and dismantle event spaces: Arrange, convert, and break down meeting and function rooms, including handling of convertible rooms and additional equipment such as stages and dance floors
- Coordinate catering arrangements: Set up coffee breaks, lunches, and other catering services according to event requirements
- Maintain event readiness: Refresh and prepare event spaces before and during functions to ensure a professional environment
- Deliver event service support: Provide guest service during events including beverage service, buffet and plated service, cash bar operations, billing, and covering the business center when required
- Handle operational coordination and documentation: Manage package handling with relevant departments, interpret key event documents (BEOs, daily worksheets, setup plans), and maintain change logs and internal checklists
