Drawing on your strong commercial sense, you’ll partner across functions to shape the product and go‑to‑market decisions that fuel the expansion of our content ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leverage content economics, subscription performance, and user behavior data to deliver strategic recommendations to product and business stakeholders; define and track core KPIs to guide critical product and business-lifecycle decisions.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify the opportunity space for the product teams based on user needs, preferences, pain points & friction in the user journeys.
- Design and execute hypothesis-driven experiments on creator tools and features to maximize user growth, engagement, and retention.
- Communicate data-driven insights & recommendations to product, engineering, design, and leadership teams using clear and compelling narratives, visualizations, and presentations.
- Partner across finance, strategy, and commercial leadership to track core business performance, investigate tactical or strategic shifts in revenue and performance metrics, and deliver data-driven insights that support operational efficiency and strategic business decision-making.
- Collaborate with other analysts, data engineers, data scientists, and product managers to ensure data quality, consistency, and alignment across different data sources and platforms
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and documentation to share best practices, learnings, and institutional knowledge across the organization.
Experience and Background:
- 5+ years of experience in product analytics, business intelligence, data science, or a related field. Direct experience within Commerce, subscriptions, freemium based businesses, streaming services, Social, Commerce, Gaming is a plus.
- Expertise in SQL and experience working with large-scale data sets on cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS.
- Experience with analytics engineering tools such as Apache Airflow, Dataform, dbt, etc.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Familiarity with event tracking, design and tag management solutions such as Segment, GTM, Adobe Launch, Tealium, etc.
- Experience in designing, running, and analyzing complex A/B tests and experiments using one or more of the leading experimentation solutions. i.e. StatSig / Optimizely / Target.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to apply statistical methods such as hypothesis testing, regression analysis, clustering, forecasting. Experience building churn and retention prediction models is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations for different audiences.
- Curiosity and passion to find & elevate the data narratives and exercise influence to drive change.
- Experience in mentoring and training analysts and non technical stakeholders.
- Passion for music and interest in understanding user behavior and preferences in the music domain.
The salary range for this role is $130,000 - $150,000 annually. The final salary offered will be determined based on relative experience, skills, internal equity, and location. We also offer a generous total rewards program - read more about additional benefits and perks below!
