We are currently looking for experienced and talented Architects / Designers to join our New York office where, together with 100+ other BIGsters, you will be responsible for the delivery of projects of varying scale and typology. You will work closely with a vibrant, multidisciplinary team of architectural, urban design and landscape professionals.

Join us on our mission if you are a US Licensed Architect who has:
  • Strong conceptual, design and graphic skills
  • Experience with technical detailing, construction documentation & construction administration
  • Ability to resolve technical and design challenges through innovative thinking 
  • Exposure to management and coordination of project stakeholders, local authorities and approving bodies, and sub-consultants
  • Ability to develop design options in collaboration with the design team
  • Ability to prepare, develop and edit drawings and models as they relate to the project
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • The ability to be proactive, self-motivated, and able to take initiative in response to direction from managers
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative and supportive approach to working with teammates
  • A flexible and open attitude towards new ways of working

Requirements

  • A professional degree in Architecture
  • 6+ years of professional experience
  • Experience working on all phases of a single project
  • Proficiency in Revit, Rhino, and AutoCAD
  • In-depth knowledge of building codes and construction documentation
  • Construction Administration experience, including field observation

Responsibilities

  • Facilitating communication between clients, consultant teams, project teams, vendors, and building and permitting officials
  • Production of contract documents
  • Management of team members
  • Providing technical guidance and innovative solutions to complex technical and design challenges

Salary: $85,000 - $95,000
(The salary offered will be based on the length and relevance of the candidate's work history and the skills developed through their professional experiences.)
