What this job involves:
As Senior Facility Manager, you'll oversee multiple sites within the account's owned and occupied portfolio, ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal requirements while managing relationships with clients, third-party vendors, and internal stakeholders. You'll lead a team of Facility Management professionals, providing strategic direction, performance management, and career development while ensuring delivery of exceptional facility services aligned with the client's standards and objectives. This role combines operational leadership with financial management, requiring you to prepare and manage facility budgets, track variances, ensure lease compliance, and drive portfolio-wide initiatives that optimize performance and maintain regulatory compliance across your assigned geography.
What your day-to-day will look like:
- Manage performance and outcomes of assigned facility management staff through leadership, mentorship, and development while executing succession planning and building actionable career development plans
- Maintain interface with third-party property owners and landlords to ensure total lease compliance, accurate and timely reporting, and resolution of critical tenant relations issues
- Provide comprehensive facility services in accordance with standard processes and procedures including application of policies, programs, and coordination across multiple sites
- Ensure compliance with portfolio-wide initiatives and all local, state, and federal laws and regulations governing facility operations
- Prepare, submit, and manage facility budgets aligned with client goals and objectives while tracking variances and ensuring smooth recovery processes
- Support prompt collection of management fees and reimbursements from third-party tenants occupying space within owned premises
- Manage, coordinate, and exercise functional responsibility for integrated facility management services across assigned facilities and geography
Required qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience leading Integrated Facilities Management teams and services
- Strong leadership and relationship building skills with proven ability to manage cross-functional teams
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving abilities with strong verbal, written communication, and presentation skills
- Proven track record of delivering excellent internal and external customer service
- Proficiency in Excel and ability to analyze data for financial and operational decision-making
- Experience with budget management, lease administration, and vendor relationship management
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Business Administration, or related field
- Knowledge of standard business and accounting practices
- Professional certifications such as CFM (Certified Facility Manager) or FMP (Facility Management Professional)
- Experience managing multi-site portfolios with diverse facility types
- Background in corporate real estate operations and portfolio management
- Compensation planning and P&L management experience
