The Associate Director, Talent Partner for Air & Space Defense Systems (ASDS) serves to strengthen our leadership and critical-talent pipeline while serving as a trusted advisor to our senior leaders. In this high-impact role, you will shape and execute integrated talent strategies that enable business performance across a complex, mission-driven organization.

The ideal candidate brings strong business acumen, a data-informed curious mindset, and the ability to influence at all levels of a complex, matrixed environment.

What You Will Do:

  • Serve as the strategic talent partner to senior executive leaders and HR Business Partner (HRBP), influencing talent decisions that align with Raytheon’s business strategy and RTX & RAY priorities.
  • Diagnosing ASDS organizational talent needs and partner with HRBPs and Center of Excellences (COE) to design and implement holistic talent solutions across workforce planning, succession, leadership development, skills planning and high-performing teams.
  • Use data and insights to anticipate capability needs, identify gaps, and drive targeted development and readiness actions.
  • Lead the annual talent and succession planning process for ASDS to build a future-ready pipeline.
  • Identify and accelerate readiness of critical talent; collaborate with HRBPs and Talent COEs to deliver cohesive, enterprise-aligned talent solutions.
  • Support PULSE and PLES organizational leadership assessments and enable leaders to implement changes that drive effectiveness, agility and cultural alignment.
  • Provide trusted, thought leadership and coaching to executive leaders on talent issues, organizational dynamics, leadership effectiveness and culture-building efforts.
  • Build leadership capability by advising on high-impact development actions and high-performing team effectiveness.
  • Lead or participate in enterprise-wide initiatives, frameworks, and process improvements leveraging CORE | LEAN processes that elevate maturity and consistency of talent practices across RAY.
  • Strategize and enable organizational readiness for transformation initiatives, including org redesign, operating model changes, initiative rollouts, and workforce transitions.
  • Leverage change management methodologies to improve adoption and sustainment of new ways of working.


 Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a university degree with 12 years prior relevant experience OR an advanced degree with 10 years of related experience.  

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in HR, talent management, or executive leadership development.
  • Experience with talent assessment, succession planning, workforce analytics, and leadership development.

  • Proven ability to operate with autonomy while navigating ambiguity, shifting priorities, and sensitive or confidential business situations.
  • Expertise driving optimization, continuous improvement (CORE or LEAN processes),

  • Remote: This position currently is designated as remote. Employees who are working in remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home) but may be expected to travel to the site location as needed. The successful candidate for this role will be required to reside and work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. territories).

The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
