Accountabilities:
- Schedule procedures and services according to established guidelines, ensuring the correct appointment time, resources, and department coordination.
- Coordinate scheduling requests from physician offices and patients while providing clear preparation instructions and required information.
- Screen patients prior to scheduling to collect necessary details and ensure appropriate appointment setup.
- Complete patient pre-registration accurately within required systems and according to registration standards.
- Verify insurance information and support compliance with managed care and payer requirements.
- Perform revenue cycle reviews and refer appropriate cases for financial support when needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records while following confidentiality, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with provider office staff to support effective communication and provide guidance on scheduling processes.
- Assist with training and onboarding of new team members.
- Maintain scheduling equipment and report technical issues or malfunctions when necessary.
- Support continuous improvement of scheduling operations and complete additional duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Two years of medical secretarial, medical clerical, or healthcare administrative experience preferred.
- Experience with patient scheduling, registration, or healthcare access processes preferred.
- Strong computer skills with the ability to navigate scheduling systems and Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to quickly learn and maintain proficiency with healthcare technology platforms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
