As a Senior Performance Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of FloQast's cloud-based applications and services. You will partner closely with Engineering, SRE, Product, and Quality Engineering teams to identify performance bottlenecks, establish performance benchmarks, and drive performance improvements across our platform.

You will partner closely with Engineering, SRE, Product, and Quality Engineering teams to identify performance bottlenecks, establish performance benchmarks, and drive performance improvements across our platform.
What You'll Do

Design, develop, and execute comprehensive performance, load, stress, endurance, and scalability testing strategies for distributed cloud applications.

Define performance goals, SLAs, and success criteria for critical platform services and customer-facing applications.

Build and maintain automated performance testing frameworks and pipelines integrated with CI/CD workflows.

Analyze application, database, API, and infrastructure performance metrics to identify bottlenecks and recommend optimizations.

Collaborate with Software Engineers, Architects, and SRE teams to improve system scalability, resiliency, and efficiency.

Conduct capacity planning exercises and provide data-driven recommendations for infrastructure scaling.

Create performance dashboards, monitoring solutions, and reports to provide visibility into system health and trends.

Validate performance impacts of new features, architecture changes, and production releases.

Lead root cause analysis for performance-related incidents and proactively identify areas for improvement.

Mentor engineers and establish performance engineering best practices across the organization.
What You'll Bring
-
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

7+ years of experience in Performance Engineering, Performance Testing, or Site Reliability Engineering.

Strong hands-on experience with performance testing tools such as:

JMeter

Gatling
-
LoadRunner

k6
-
Locust
-
Experience testing high-scale SaaS platforms, web applications, APIs, and microservices architectures.

Strong understanding of:

Distributed systems

Cloud-native architectures

Performance tuning methodologies

Scalability patterns

Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS.

Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or Go.

Strong knowledge of SQL and database performance tuning concepts.

Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, New Relic, Splunk, or similar.

Experience integrating performance testing into CI/CD pipelines.

Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
