Management Positions)The Director of SMT Expert Team is responsible for establishing, leading, and continuously developing Infineon’s global SMT / Assembly Expert Group as a central competence hub for Surface Mount Technology(SMT).Your RoleKey responsibilities in your new roleThe Director of SMT Expert Team is responsible for establishing, leading, and continuously developing Infineon’s global SMT / Assembly Expert Group as a central competence hub for Surface Mount Technology(SMT). The role ensures best-in-class technical support to customers and contract manufacturers (CMs) by providing structured Level 2 expert support, enabling fast and effective issue resolution, and strengthening Infineon’s reputation as a competent partner in board assembly and interconnect technologies.The position acts as a key integrator across functions, linking Reliability & Qualification, Backend Development, OSAT Development, Business Line Development and customer-facing organizations.Your ProfileQualifications and skills to help you succeedProfessional Experience •Extensive experience in SMT / board assembly technologies and backend semiconductor manufacturing •Proven track record in managing complex technical topics across organizations •Strong experience working with contract manufacturers and external partners •Experience in customer-facing roles and technical escalation management ________________________________________ Leadership & Management Skills •Demonstrated ability to lead international and cross-functional expert teams •Strong facilitation, moderation, and stakeholder alignment skills •Ability to lead complex matrix organizations without direct reporting lines •Intrapreneurial and strategic mindset combined with strong operational execution ________________________________________ Technical Competence •Deep expertise in SMT processes, materials, and interconnect technologies •Strong understanding of system-level and board-level requirements •Knowledge of production, reliability, and qualification requirements ________________________________________ Personal Attributes •Strong communication and influencing skills across all organizational levels •High customer orientation mentality •Intercultural competence and ability to work in global environments •Structured, solution-oriented, and resilient under pressure•Highly self-motivated and ambitious professional who takes full ownership of responsibilities, demonstrates strong accountability, and makes timely, effective decisions in fast-paced environments.#WeAreIn for driving decarbonization and digitalization.As a global leader in semiconductor solutions in power systems and IoT, Infineon enables game-changing solutions for green and efficient energy, clean and safe mobility, as well as smart and secure IoT.
