RESPONSABILITIES:
- Manage Controls/Software related topics of new projects/launches
- Develop/Improve concepts of integration for automation systems
- Develop/Improve PLC, HMI & automation system programs of new and current processes
- Participate in early manufacturing concept development
- Participate in machine and tool design reviews, estimating process and management reviews when required.
- Stay focus to keep key dates and targets, ensure compliance with customer specific requirements (QCI, KPC)
- Manage and update electrical/mechanical drawings
- Support and Troubleshooting to manufacturing areas with legacy equipment to achieve KPIs
- Follow up on action plans in continuous improvement processes
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Education: Mechatronics, Electromechanical , Electronics, Software Engineering or Experience on the custom manufacturing equipment for assembly development.
- High level of English proficiency (80% or higher).
- Problem solving skills, product drawing interpretation, GD&T
- PLC programing: Rockwell and Siemens Platforms
- SCADA systems development. Basic knowledge of programming and connectivity
- Homologation and development of inspections systems (2D cameras, 3D scanners) (Keyence/Cognex).
- Knowledge of Silicon/Adhesive dispensing system: Programming and handling (PVA / Nordson).
- Leak testing: Knowledge of parameter handling and Tests (Cincinnati).
- Electrical test (Cirris) knowledge high pot and low voltage, spring pin selection for specific applications.
- Laser marking/etching DMC and alphanumeric.
- Servo motors and drives (AB, Siemens).
- MSA and statistical applied to process performance improvement.
- Troubleshoot software related issues with equipment functions, track I/O requirements with HMI, network, sensors etc. to comply with next step equipment operation PLC (Allen B. Siemens etc).
- Selection of robot for applied assembly manufacturing (Epson).
- Terminal / Pins bending and singulation operations using stamping dies.
- CAD software knowledge NX, Solid Works (30% or higher).
- Familiar in component manufacturing processes (plastic molding, stampings, machining).
- Ability to work independently and motivate others.
- Develop and maintain project timelines for internal and customer usage.
- Work with multiple departments to release manufacturing cells.
- Experience engineering changes, and manufacturing product release.
- Experience with manufacturing documentation development PFMEA, PFD, GANT.
- Full understanding of automation capabilities to assess if a product can work as an input for an automation subprocess, and if so determine which level of automation would be a good fit.
