A Day in the Life
A Day in the Life• Support time studies, line balancing, and site capacity modeling.
• Participate in Kaizen events and DMAIC projects on the manufacturing floor.
• Help deploy Standard Work, SWIP (Standard WIP), and SMED initiatives.
• Analyze production data and build improvement proposals using Excel and Power BI.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain teams.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
• Active student in Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Completed at least 70% of the academic program.
• Intermediate English (B2 – written and spoken).
• Intermediate Excel skills.
Nice to Have
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma (Yellow Belt is a plus).
• Familiarity with Power BI, Minitab, or Power Query.
• Exposure to time studies, VSM, 5S, SMED, or capacity planning.
• Previous internship or academic project in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- This is a temporary position.
- Responsible for performing and supporting research for teams operating within a service group, or product group and/ or project group.
- Assists with the development, monitoring, coordination and implementation of technical projects as assigned.
- Provides analysis, reporting and internal communication services with team members.
- Develops knowledge of industry and organizational processes.
SPECIALIST CAREER STREAM: Typically an individual contributor with responsibility in a professional discipline or specialty. Delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results. May act as a mentor to colleagues or may direct the work of other lower level professionals. The majority of time is spent delivering and overseeing the projects – from design to implementation - while and adhering to policies, using specialized knowledge and skills normally acquired through advanced education.

Requires a Baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)( 4)(iii)(A), 0 years of experience required.
