We are seeking a motivated, forward-thinking and collaborative professional to join our HSE Process Excellence team as a Senior Operational Excellence Specialist (Data Analytics & Technology).
This role is responsible for delivering high-quality data analytics, performance reporting and digital solutions that support HSE operational excellence across Building Automation. The successful candidate will act as a technical specialist, transforming complex data into meaningful insights, driving automation and digitalisation initiatives, and supporting data-driven decision-making across the Building Automation.
Role Description
As a Senior Operational Excellence Specialist, you will support the HSE data analytics and reporting function, ensuring the effective delivery of reporting outputs, including dashboards and month-end performance business reviews.
You will perform in-depth functional analysis of safety data, identifying trends, insights and opportunities to support operational and strategic decision-making. A strong understanding of the context and purpose of safety data is essential to ensure it is applied effectively across governance and performance frameworks.
You will work closely with business stakeholders and the Process Excellence Leader, helping align data analytics with operational needs, validating data relevance and supporting improvements through automation, digitisation and innovation.
In addition, you will act as a subject matter expert within the team, sharing technical knowledge and supporting capability development through collaboration and best-practice guidance.
- Ensure accurate and timely delivery of reporting, dashboards and month-end performance business reviews
- Perform functional analysis of safety data, identifying trends and actionable insights
- Apply strong understanding of safety data context, objectives and governance requirements
- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand data needs and support operational decision-making
- Evaluate feedback and identify opportunities to improve data efficiency, automation and digitisation
- Monitor emerging trends and technological advancements, recommending innovative data solutions
- Provide technical expertise and specialist guidance on analytics and reporting activities
- Support the Process Excellence Leader and team in the delivery of strategic priorities and initiatives
- Contribute to the development and implementation of digital data strategies and improvement plans

Required & Desirable Skills
Required
Advanced Data Analytics & Reporting
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data modelling, PivotTables, Power Pivot, dashboards and automation (VBA/macros).
- Strong ability to analyse, interpret and translate complex data into actionable business insights.
Experience developing KPI frameworks, performance reporting and executive-level dashboards.
Business Intelligence & Digital Tools
- Advanced capability with Power BI (or similar BI platforms) for dashboard development and data visualisation.
- Experience working with SharePoint, Forms, Lists and other cloud-based Microsoft platforms.
- Ability to connect, transform and manage data from multiple systems and sources.
Experience supporting digitalisation, automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Automation & Data Management
- Working knowledge of Power Automate and workflow automation.
- Understanding of SQL and data querying concepts.
Basic scripting knowledge (Python, C# or similar) to support reporting and data management activities.
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Strong data storytelling and visual presentation skills.
- Ability to align reporting outputs with business objectives and operational priorities.
Highly Desirable
- Advanced Power BI development, including DAX and data modelling.
- Experience using MST (Intelex) systems.
