Radar Simulation Engineer

Your Role:

(This is a Temporary Full-Time Employee (FTE) role for a duration of 1 year candidates who is interested only kindly apply )

The candidate will apply electromagnetics and electromagnetic simulation tools, physics, spatial geometry, radar signal processing principles and strong mathematical/analytical skills to:

1.     Analyze the interactions of millimeter-wave radar signals with vehicle body components, including reflection, diffraction, and refraction, to predict the effects on radar measurements (target range, range-rate, azimuth angle, elevation angle), and ultimately predict the effects on vehicle functions that depend on radar data.

2.     Use Electromagnetic simulation tools to quantify the effects of RF signals passing through various materials.

Interact extensively with automobile OEM customers to guide them in the design of vehicle components (including ones with complex geometries) through which radar signals pass, to achieve compatibility with automotive radars, while at the same time allowing maximum possible design latitude to our customers to meet their styling and manufacturing needs

3     Characterize & analyze RF characteristics, including loss tangent and relative permissivity values of plastics and paints, on the performance of automotive radars.

4.     Work with and modify 3D CAD geometry to create simulation models.

5.     Innovate new analytical methods approaches, innovate new test methods, innovate new methods of visualization of complex data, continually increase Aptiv’s knowledge of the effects of vehicle body components on radar signal integrity, continually improve Aptiv’s service to our automotive OEM customers.

6     Manage multiple customer projects and timelines.

7.     Have a working knowledge of MATLAB to utilize and develop data processing tools.

Your Background (6- 8 years)

• Masters in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering, Physics, or associated field Strong mathematical and analytical capability

• We are looking for immediate joiners, Serving NP or candidates who can join us within 15 days -20 days(Max)

• Strong in fundamentals of electromagnetics including of radar principles and technologies.

• Experience with electromagnetic simulation tools viz. FEKO, CST, HFSS Proficiency in MATLAB (Mandatory)

• Prior knowledge of radar design

• Automotive or similar Industry experience

• Prior CAD Modeling experience. Familiarity with 3D CAD tools viz. NX, Catia

•   Experience in developing data processing tools and scripts.

•   Experience with Python or similar scripting tools

•   Very strong communication skills

• Familiarity with SCRUM methodology

• Familiar with Artificial Intelligence / Machine learning concepts
