We currently have an opportunity for a Project Manager. Join our Health and Education team and play a key role in leading end-to-end project delivery from scoping, planning, procurement and stakeholder engagement through to execution, commissioning, handover, claims support and close-out. Reporting to Contract Manager, you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services.
What You’ll Do
This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:
- Apply Downer’s Delivery Management Methodology and relevant Delivery Manager principles to plan, govern and deliver assigned works, proportionate to project category, complexity, contract model and risk profile.
- Lead assigned lifecycle, modification, variation, minor works and client-funded projects from initiation/scoping through procurement, planning, delivery, commissioning, handover and close-out.
- Develop clear scopes, delivery strategies, programmes, work packages, risk controls and stakeholder engagement plans before works commence.
- Deliver projects to agreed scope, schedule, quality standards and approved budgets, with timely escalation where delivery, commercial or operational risk emerges.
- Read and interpret relevant contract schedules, service specifications, lifecycle plans, annual works plans, variation requirements and approval processes to ensure delivery aligns with contractual obligations.
What You’ll Bring
- Diploma or degree in Facilities Management, Business, Asset Management or Project Management.
- Current Working with Children check.
- Demonstrated experience delivering complex projects in operational facilities, preferably across Hard FM, infrastructure, asset management, healthcare, education, PPP, government or high-compliance environments.
- Proven experience managing lifecycle works, capital works, modifications, variations, minor works or client-funded projects from scope definition through to delivery and close-out.
- Experience delivering works in live environments where service continuity, stakeholder coordination, access constraints, safety, quality and operational disruption must be carefully managed.
More than anything, you’ll bring a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes for our clients.
