You will do this by working with a variety of internal + external stakeholders while focusing on the following key objectives.
- To ensure compliance with customs laws + regulations.
- To demonstrate knowledge of Free Trade Agreements, being able to provide advice as well as verification of Certificate of Origin documents.
- To demonstrate knowledge of import/export licenses to key stakeholders.
- To classify goods for customs clearance activity in an accurate manner.
- To perform accurate calculation on customs duties, taxes, + fees.
- To conduct risk assessments for high-risk shipments.
- To streamline customs procedures as well as collaborating with stakeholders.
What we would like you to bring
- Minimum 1 year of experience in customs freight forwarding or similar industry.
- Knowledge of customs procedures and regulations with basic understanding of import and export documentation and processes.
- Possess basic English communication skills (reading and writing).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing information.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and data management systems.
