Quality Technician — Manufacturing

Pay: $19–$21 per hour
Shift/Schedule: Monday – Friday, 2:45 PM – 11:05 PM
About the Role
We're hiring a detail-oriented Quality Technician to ensure product quality through daily line audits in a manufacturing environment. This role is key to meeting or exceeding company, customer, and federal/state compliance standards, with responsibility for approving batches to run and monitoring core quality checks.
What You'll Do
- Approve or correct batches using basic lab skills, math/formulas, and testing equipment
- Perform lab checks per clearly defined Quality SOPs
- Conduct pre-ops and Preventive Control (PC) checks
- Notify appropriate personnel and follow SOP steps when noncompliance is found
- Perform required analytical tests (e.g., VC, Salt, Brix, PH, DS meter, TA, Vitamin C, batch-to-control comparisons, sensory audits)
- Perform physical testing of raw materials and finished product against customer specifications
- Conduct special audits as needed for raw materials or product on hold
- Report Food Safety and Quality issues in a timely manner to appropriate personnel
- Coach production associates on line data collection
- Follow all company policies, including general manufacturing and safety practices
What We're Looking For
- Ability to follow written procedures and safety rules
- Strong eye, hand, and foot coordination for equipment/tool use
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Basic computer skills; ability to read, write, and process quality documentation accurately and on time
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Effective communication skills
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
- Must pass all company testing
