This is a fully remote contract role focused on building and maintaining mission-critical internal applications used in the design of advanced public safety communication systems. You will work across both backend and frontend layers, contributing to the evolution of cloud-based tools built on a modern AWS and microservices architecture. The role includes maintaining existing systems as well as developing new applications migrated from legacy platforms. You will collaborate closely with an Agile engineering team, contributing to iterative delivery cycles, code quality improvements, and system reliability. The environment is highly technical and structured, requiring adaptability to complex codebases and disciplined engineering practices. Accountabilities:

    • Design, develop, test, and maintain full stack web applications using .NET for backend services and modern frontend technologies.
    • Contribute to maintenance and enhancement of existing applications, resolving defects and implementing incremental improvements.
    • Develop new greenfield applications migrated from legacy systems, following established architectural and coding standards.
    • Build and maintain microservices deployed on AWS-based infrastructure, aligned with Continuous Delivery practices.
    • Develop automated tests for API and UI layers using testing frameworks such as Playwright.
    • Collaborate within an Agile team environment, participating in sprint planning, reviews, and iterative development cycles.
    • Ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices across both frontend and backend components.
    • Requirements:

      • Strong hands-on experience with C# and the .NET development ecosystem.
      • Solid knowledge of frontend technologies including JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and MVC architecture patterns.
      • Experience working in Agile development teams and iterative delivery environments.
      • Ability to quickly adapt to complex and evolving codebases.
      • Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken) for collaboration with international teams.
      • Must be based in Brazil and eligible to contract as an independent professional with a valid local tax identifier.
      • Nice to have: experience with Vue.js, Vuetify, and Vuex.
      • Nice to have: experience with AWS-based microservices architectures.
      • Nice to have: familiarity with Git, GitHub workflows, and branching strategies.
      • Nice to have: experience with automated testing frameworks such as Playwright.
      • Nice to have: exposure to AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code).
