Methodist Outpatient Rehab is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Outpatient Neurological Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team, where you will evaluate and treat individuals with complex nervous system diseases or injuries like stroke, Parkinson's, MS, or TBI. You will utilize evidence-based interventions to restore mobility, reduce pain, and improve functional independence and overall quality of life, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to create comprehensive, patient-centered care plans.

Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Physical Therapist, you will help patients rebuild or maintain their physical wellbeing so they can function at their best level, reduce pain, and improve their quality of life.Every day you will perform initial evaluations, develop and update individualized plans of care, and provide a variety of direct treatments. You will be expected to consistently meet patient care productivity standards, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and families, and promote a positive customer service environment.To be successful in this role, you must possess strong age-appropriate competency skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative, patient-centered approach to care.
- Complete patient evaluations within 24 - 48 hours according to department protocol, setting appropriate and relevant goals.
- Implement effective and adequate treatment plans, modifying goals and interventions as appropriate while ensuring patient safety.
- Provide comprehensive patient and family education, utilizing various teaching methods suitable for their level of understanding.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, adhering to department policies for concise, legible records that reflect all interventions and assessments.
- Communicate treatment plans and patient status promptly with the interdisciplinary team and medical doctors, participating in team conferences as needed.
- Ensure compliance with department policies for timecards, productivity logs, billing, and other departmental functions.
Job Requirements
Required
- Physical Therapist: CA
- Basic Life Support - CPR through American Heart Association.
Preferred
- Previous experience as a Physical Therapist.
