Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Procurement Manager to join our Plan and Enable team in Everett, Washington or Auburn, Washington.

The Procurement Manager will lead all procurement activities and keep the business operations running efficiently by supporting both Enterprise level initiatives and implementing high visibility supply chain collaboration focused projects, developing and executing integrated organizational plans and solutions to enable business objectives. The ideal candidate will ensure all items and services are accurately acquired, so that projects and processes can proceed efficiently and optimally to drive the overall success of the company. They will simultaneously lead multiple contracting activities while partnering with customers to ensure a OneBoeing approach!

This role requires partnership with Leaders across the enterprise and an active member of the BCA (Boeing Commercial Airplane) Supply Chain team. 

This position will discover new opportunities and solutions for business problems by looking beyond current practices and using innovative thinking. This role requires blending strategic thinking with on-the-ground execution, enabling the organizations to improve systems, business policies, processes and efficiencies to operate as One Boeing Supply Chain.  

Our team is currently hiring a Level K Procurement Manager.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Performs responsibilities requiring the integration of disciplines from more than one supplier management and procurement job family and applies independent, specialized technical expertise to support a wide range of business objectives.
  • Activities include, but are not limited to, the development, integration, implementation and execution of multidisciplinary business processes.
  • Works cross-functionally with internal and external customers and suppliers and all employee levels to carry out responsibilities.
  • Manage a team of professionals responsible for tracking and overseeing supplier engineering build data in the KUTD (Keep up to Date) system, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established guidelines and standards.
  • Oversee the management of Boeing owned tooling at supplier sites, ensuring proper maintenance, tracking, and utilization.
  • Provide oversight and support for the maintenance of BCA Supply Chain legacy procurement systems and applications, to ensure system functionality and data integrity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve common computing system issues, minimizing disruptions to the supply chain organization.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize operational efficiency and effectiveness within the supply chain organization.

Boeing First-Line Leader Assessment: To be considered for this position you will be required to complete an assessment as part of the selection process. Failure to complete this assessment will remove you from consideration. 

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):  

  • 5+ years of experience working with Supplier Management, Supply Chain and/or Procurement practices and processes 
  • 3+ years of experience supporting the development and/or implementation of new business processes or tools in a large and complex business environment
  • 3+ years of experience demonstrating executive presence with exceptional written and oral communication skills; able to influence senior leaders, present complex technical/organizational matters clearly, and lead high-stakes discussions
  • 3+ years of experience with industry ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) or an equivalent such as SAP (System Applications and Product)
  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”
  • Domestic and international travel as needed

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Degree
  • 3+ years of experience in managing projects
  • 3+ years of experience leading or managing process improvement projects

Summary pay range (Level K): Location: Everett, WA: $122,400 – $150,500
