Accountabilities:

    As a Freelance Social Media Coordinator, you will support daily social media operations by creating, managing, and distributing engaging content across digital platforms. Your responsibilities will include:

    • Managing live social media coverage for sports events, primarily during golf coverage from Thursday through Sunday, including non-traditional hours.
    • Planning, creating, and publishing content across platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, Threads, and BlueSky.
    • Monitoring live sporting events and quickly identifying moments suitable for social media distribution.
    • Clipping highlights and segments from live events and studio programming for real-time audience engagement.
    • Collaborating with video producers, editorial teams, and production staff to develop highly shareable content.
    • Maintaining consistent brand voice, editorial standards, and content quality across multiple platforms.
    • Supporting content creation efforts with talent and production teams during studio and on-site activities.
    • Partnering with social media leadership to identify opportunities for audience growth, engagement, and video performance improvement.
    • Contributing creative ideas during team brainstorms to develop new formats and content strategies.
    • Tracking content performance metrics and using insights to improve future campaigns.
    • Managing multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Staying informed on social media trends, platform updates, and evolving digital behaviors.
    • Requirements:

      The ideal candidate is a creative and detail-oriented social media professional with experience producing digital content and understanding online audiences. You should have:

      • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Digital Media, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
      • 1–2 years of experience creating, managing, and distributing content across social media platforms.
      • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with platforms including Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, Threads, and BlueSky.
      • Experience using social media management and project coordination tools such as Sprout Social, Airtable, Monday.com, or similar platforms.
      • Ability to analyze KPIs and apply performance insights to improve content strategies.
      • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Premiere, and After Effects, with the ability to perform basic video editing.
      • Strong understanding of sports, internet culture, and emerging digital trends.
      • Excellent copywriting and editing skills with strong attention to accuracy and brand consistency.
      • Ability to work efficiently under pressure, manage deadlines, and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
      • Creative mindset with the ability to identify new storytelling opportunities through digital content.
      • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
      • Availability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and event-driven hours.
      • Authorization to work in the United States and minimum age requirement of 18 years old.
      • Preferred qualifications include:

        • Strong knowledge of sports, particularly golf, NASCAR, WNBA, and/or Premier League.
        • Experience with live video clipping platforms such as Wildmoka, WSC, or Grabyo.
        • Ability to capture and edit original video content.
        • Previous experience working in sports media, entertainment, or digital publishing environments.
