The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) division is seeking a Financial Analyst II – FP&A to join the Agency and Specialty Finance team. This position will prepare and analyze financial performance data to monitor variances, identify trends and provide improvement recommendations. It will report to the Senior Manager of Agency and Specialty Finance and play a key role in supporting areas of GEICO that are poised to be our growth engine for the coming years. Collaboration, enthusiasm, a growth mindset, and ability to execute within tight timelines are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
PREPARES key reports and ASSISTS in generating new analysis and reporting to support critical business decisions
PREPARES standard and ad-hoc models of moderate complexity
IDENTIFIES financial status by COMPARING and ANALYZING results with plans and forecasts
ASSISTS in preparation of financial dashboards and REPORTING of key performance indicators USING accurate and quality data
ASSISTS in the monthly analytical review of forecasting including comparisons to prior projections
MAINTAINS and UPDATES standard reporting & analysis to support operational decisions
IDENTIFIES opportunities for automation in reporting, forecasting, and analysis that drive continuous improvement and process efficiency
COLLABORATES across FP&A teams and with business leaders to identify and evaluate strategic opportunities to drive growth and profitability
ADHERES to the GEICO Code of Conduct, company policies and operating principles
MEETS attendance standard at business location (in office 3x per week) to perform necessary job functions and to facilitate interaction with management and co-workers
Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field
1-3 years experience in FP&A, Finance, Accounting, or similar field
Experience in insurance industry is desirable
Moderate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Beneficial but not required: knowledge of SQL, Power BI, Oracle EPM
Must meet minimum standards for grade 65 to be eligible for promotion to this grade
Location: Chicago, IL or Fredericksburg, VA - this is a hybrid role with a 3 day in office requirement
Annual Salary
$77,900.00 - $129,150.00The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
