What You Will Do

As a Lead Engineer, you will:

  • Design, develop, and enhance avionics software solutions for advanced aerospace products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Systems Engineering, Hardware, Software Architecture, User Experience, and Product Management.
  • Develop software using C, Python, and MATLAB/Simulink for safety-critical embedded systems.
  • Participate throughout the complete software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
  • Apply DO-178C software development and verification processes to ensure compliance with aerospace standards.
  • Perform structural coverage analysis and support unit test automation activities.
  • Contribute to software architecture, embedded systems design, and system-level integration.
  • Work with configuration management and change control tools such as DOORS, JAMA, SVN, and JIRA.
  • Identify technical challenges and develop innovative, scalable solutions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and adopt engineering best practices throughout product development.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 3–6 years of industry experience in Avionics Software Engineering.
  • Strong programming experience in C and Python.
  • Hands-on experience with MATLAB/Simulink software development.
  • Good understanding of DO-178C software development and verification processes.
  • Experience with structural coverage analysis and unit test automation tools.
  • Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience working with configuration management and change control tools such as DOORS, JAMA, SVN, and JIRA.
  • Understanding of embedded systems, software architecture, and system-level design.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with Heads-Up Guidance Systems (HUD) and Heads-Down Display Systems (HDD).
  • Exposure to safety-critical embedded software development within the aerospace or avionics industry.
  • Practical knowledge of enterprise engineering programs and large-scale product development projects.
  • Ability to recommend process improvements and contribute to engineering excellence.
  • A strong foundation in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with relevant industry experience.
  • Experience working in collaborative global engineering environments.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite.  Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).  An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.
