A Day in the Life

Interventional Cardiology Therapies is a vital component of the Medtronic Cardiovascular portfolio consisting of three therapies; coronary, renal denervation and structural heart. Our core coronary products treat blocked coronary arteries and we are seeking to solve unmet needs in the rapidly growing field of complex Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI). In renal denervation we are leading the way with the transformational Blood pressure reduction therapy, which has the potential to be a powerful tool in battling the global hypertension epidemic. Structural Heart therapies offer minimally-invasive approaches to restore proper structure and function on the heart focusing on the transcatheter replacement or repair of heart valves.

A Day in The Life Of:

The Senior Engineering Manager will provide leadership and direction to RPM Project Managers and Operations team members ensuring the implementation of tactical and strategi activities supporting the ICT RPM Portfolio.

  • Lead, grow and motivate a highly talented, diverse, world-class performance RPM team.
  • Direct, develop, and coach the RPM team including project managers that lead projects and operations team members on projects consisting of direct reports through effective leadership.
  • Attract and retain talent in line with business need.
  • Ensure that the RPM team are motivated and engaged through the process of regular coaching and performance acceleration, and that development plans meet individual and group development needs in alignment with the demands of the business
  • Drive functional excellence in developing and sharing best practices across the team. 
  • Help identify and support functional initiatives to develop best practices for the team.
  • Collaborate with RPM project teams to establish objectives and evaluates progress of direct reports and the RPM  team.
  • Coach the team through program milestones and issue resolution.
  • Generate novel and unique solutions to both project and organizational challenges
  • Through effective information flow and interaction, develop harmonious working relations with other functions, and ensure employees within the team have the necessary information and resources to effectively perform their jobs.
  • Ensure effective stakeholder management and establish governance processes for communication and escalation
  • Identify and carry out practical actions to solve problems using your new and existing skills in project management and lean sigma
  • Manages RPM Projects to solve problems and implement improvements with well-defined plans and delivery methodologies and is accountable for overall project process, performance, and customer satisfaction

Key Skills & Experience

  • Third Level 8 Degree or higher in Engineering, Science, or related discipline
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with 5+ years of managerial experience.
  • Excellent team building, communication, people management and leadership skills
  • Strong proven track record in project management in a regulated environment.
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability and experience with lean/six sigma tools
  • Dynamic team player and leader and can work effectively and proactively on cross functional global teams
  • Good interpersonal skills with a high level of enthusiasm and motivation and ability to develop warm cross functional relationships
  • Displays Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$171,200.00-$256,800.00

 

Pay range / Rango salarial / Intervalo salarial /Fascia retributiva / Tranche de salaire / Gehaltsband / Salaribereik:  Ireland: 102,720.00 EUR - 154,080.00 EUR | 

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

U.S. Candidates
