Hilton Supply Management is responsible for creating and managing strategic contracts for the provision of goods and services to all managed properties, as well as franchise and thirdparty hotels signed to Hilton Supply Management agreements.  In this role, the Senior Procurement Manager will have strategic ownership and accountability for a portfolio of highvalue, businesscritical procurement categories across operational services and supplies, with a primary focus on Food & Beverage within the United Kingdom and Ireland.  The role is accountable for endtoend category strategy, supplier selection, commercial frameworks, contract performance, and value realisation. This includes leading complex tenders, negotiating strategic supplier agreements, managing commercial risk, and acting as a senior commercial advisor to hotel operators and internal stakeholders. The role also drives procurement maturity through dataled decisionmaking, governance, systems adoption, and capability development.

Position Summary: 

 

  • Own and lead the category strategy, sourcing roadmap, and commercial outcomes for assigned procurement portfolios within the UK & Ireland, aligned to Hilton Supply Management and enterprise objectives.

  • Accountable for delivering sustainable value across cost optimisation, service performance, risk mitigation, and revenue enablement within Food & Beverage and Non-Food operational categories.

  • Act as the senior commercial representative of Hilton Supply Management to hotel operators, suppliers, and crossfunctional leadership, providing guidance on sourcing strategy, supplier performance, and market dynamics.

  • To ensure that all procurement tools (such as Birchstreet and Smart Spend) are updated and maintained to their full productivity, whilst providing leadership and direction on the effective use of the procurement platforms and data to drive compliance, insight, and continuous improvement.

 

 

Strategic Procurement & Category Leadership – 50%

 

  • Define and own multiyear category strategies, including sourcing plans, supplier segmentation, and value levers, in line with departmental and customer policies.

  • Deliver and track portfoliolevel value realisation, moving beyond oneoff savings to sustainable commercial outcomes for HSM, Enterprise and GPO customers.

  • Understand customer needs and ensure supplier selection meets operational requirements.

  • Build and maintain executivelevel supplier relationships, driving innovation, sustainability, and service excellence.

  • Lead complex tenders and negotiations for highvalue and highrisk categories, exercising decision authority within delegated limits.

  • Act as escalation owner for supplier disputes, performance failures, and commercial risk exposure.

 

Commercial Insight, Analytics & Governance – 30%

 

  • Use advanced analytics and procurement intelligence to inform category strategies, negotiation positions, and stakeholder decisions.

  • Oversee spend analysis, compliance reporting, benchmarking, and performance dashboards at portfolio level.

  • Identify and manage commercial, supply chain, and operational risks across assigned categories.

  • Ensure procurement systems (BirchStreet, Smart Spend, Procure Wizard) are embedded as strategic enablers, not just transactional tools.

  • Set and manage standards for data quality, supplier catalogues, and system governance within assigned categories. 

 

Leadership, Stakeholder & Capability Development – 20%

 

  • Act as a trusted procurement advisor to senior hotel leadership and crossfunctional partners.

  • Contribute to the development of procurement capability, best practice, and functional maturity within HSM.

  • Coach and mentor colleagues within HSM, where applicable, to build succession and technical depth.

  • Lead change management initiatives related to category strategy, supplier transitions, and system adoption.

  • Represent HSM in internal governance forums and, where required, external industry engagements.

 

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform supportive duties as assigned from time to time, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the requirements of the company or departmental objective.

 

Direct Reports 

 

This role may have direct reports subject to business needs. The Senior Procurement Manager is expected to provide leadership, mentoring, and development support to build functional capability and resilience.

Required Qualifications

 

  • Significant procurement or supply management experience, with demonstrable ownership of complex or highvalue categories (Food & Beverage preferred).

  • Proven experience leading strategic sourcing initiatives and complex supplier negotiation.

  • Strong commercial acumen with clear evidence of delivering sustainable value outcomes.

  • Advanced experience using procurement systems and data analytics to drive decisionmaking.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent commercial experience.

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Experience operating within large, matrixed, or global organisations.
  • Proven leadership or mentoring experience within a procurement function.
  • Hospitality, foodservice, retail, or multisite operations experience.
  • Postgraduate qualification (MBA, MSc, MA or equivalent).
  • Business fluency in English and at least one additional language.
  • Experience working across multiple geographies or cultures.
