Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed. **What you'll build** + You'll independently design and architect scalable payment services that form the core of SAP Concur’s platform - processing corporate card transactions, virtual payments, and compliance flows at global scale. + Your scope includes: end-to-end ownership of complex subsystems; designing integration patterns with external providers (Airplus, Conferma, card networks); evaluation and benchmarking performance and reliability; observability and SRE practices; across multi-region Kubernetes deployments. + You'll partner with architecture, product, and the globally distributed teams. + You'll take technical ownership of critical payment system features and contribute to engineering excellence across a distributed team. + You´ll mentor engineers, guide design and code quality, and build strong technical capability across timezones. **What you bring** + You have deep experience in distributed systems and scalable application design, with strong hands-on skills in Kotlin/Java/Go and microservices architecture. + Nice to have expertise in high-volume transactional systems ( e.g. payment processing, card flows, fraud/compliance domains, or financial APIs). + Strong experience in performance optimisation, cost management, and troubleshooting complex production systems is required. + Technical leadership and mentoring ability are part of what you bring; you guide design decisions, raise the bar on code quality, and help less-experienced engineers grow. + A pragmatic, growth mindset – comfortable learning new technologies and adapting to changing requirements. + Working knowledge of AI/LLM technologies and modern developer tooling. + Active spoken and written English. **Where you belong** **SAP Concur** , a market leader in integrated corporate travel, expense, and invoice management, is reimagining the business travel experience with a next-generation, AI-enabled Online Booking Tool.
