Essential Functions and Primary Duties
- Prepares and maintains Third Party Administered retirement plan documents, including amendments and restatements, for a high‑volume client portfolio.
- Provide technical support answering plan document related questions and issues
- Assist in the design, customization, and ongoing modification of retirement plan documents to meet client objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Provide compliance expertise during a plan's lifetime such as IRS submissions, plan amendments, restatements and terminations
- Assist with answering technical questions and issues related to ERISA
- Participates in select client interactions and supports plan design discussions, demonstrating comfort communicating plan provisions and options
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with internal business partners and teams, including Document Team colleagues and Client Service Managers.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 5+ years experience in TPA Plan Document support preferred
- Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) completed or in progress
- Proficiency in FT Williams (FTW)
- Strong knowledge of retirement plan regulations, plan document provisions, and defined benefits & defined contributions.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least five years of professional, retirement plan technical, and compliance experience
- Possesses advanced knowledge and understanding of industry and professional concepts, principles, practices, and procedures
- Possesses expert knowledge of pertinent laws, regulations, and professional standards
- Expert use of applicable technology
- Proficient use of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and enterprise communication and travel solutions (Concur, Skype)
- Experience performing work that requires initiative and leadership skills
- Experience in coaching and teaching others
- Enrolled Retirement Plan Agent (ERPA) designation
- Pursuing Accredited Pension Representative (APR) or and/or (APA) designation
- Ability to anticipate and elicit customer needs
- Ability to self-learn and develop business and technical knowledge quickly
- Motivated team player with demonstrated interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working with quick turnaround times and deadlines
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Ability to travel as necessary
