Accountabilities:
- Develop, enhance, and maintain software solutions by understanding business requirements, system workflows, and technical challenges throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Lead collaborative design sessions, contribute to technical decisions, and take ownership of applications and services operating at scale.
- Partner with Agile teams, product stakeholders, and engineering peers to define clear acceptance criteria and deliver high-quality features iteratively.
- Write and maintain effective unit, integration, acceptance, and performance tests to ensure software reliability and maintainability.
- Mentor and support engineers through coaching, knowledge sharing, code reviews, and opportunities for technical growth.
- Participate in recruiting activities and help strengthen engineering teams through technical interviews and evaluation.
- Apply strong problem-solving skills to investigate issues, improve systems, and implement thoughtful solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Follow and promote software engineering best practices across coding standards, documentation, source control, testing, deployment, and security.
- Build and maintain secure, scalable systems while protecting confidential information and handling sensitive business data responsibly.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, engineering practices, and AI-assisted development tools that improve productivity and software quality.
- 5+ years of experience in server-side software development, ideally working with technologies such as TypeScript, Go, or Vue.
- Strong experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL, and familiarity with asynchronous processing, message queues, and background job architectures.
- Experience integrating third-party APIs using technologies such as REST, OAuth, and webhooks.
- Proven ability to design, develop, test, and deploy complex web applications in production environments.
- Hands-on experience with application monitoring, logging, observability tools, and troubleshooting distributed systems.
- Familiarity with containerization and cloud-native technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure supporting scalable deployments.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
- Strong understanding of secure coding practices, including application security principles and vulnerability prevention.
- Demonstrated mentoring experience with the ability to support and guide other engineers.
- Strong documentation habits and experience working effectively within Agile development environments.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders, and non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to design solutions collaboratively, evaluate technical trade-offs, and connect engineering decisions to business outcomes.
- Experience with ERP integrations, particularly NetSuite, SuiteScript, or related APIs.
- Familiarity with e-signature platforms, authentication providers, financial integrations, or regulated industries handling sensitive information.
- Experience with fintech, payment, tax, or identity verification systems.
- Knowledge of Redis-backed sessions, caching strategies, and queue-based architectures.
- Experience deploying applications through AWS EKS, Kubernetes environments, or similar cloud platforms.
- Competitive salary range of $145,000 - $160,000 USD depending on experience and qualifications.
