An exciting 14-month secondment opportunity exists for a Product Manager to lead the strategy, commercial management, and overall success of the Consumer Charge Card portfolio. 2026 and beyond will yield an exciting chapter for the Consumer Charge portfolio which is a critical growth and profitability driver for the ICS Australia and New Zealand business. With an ambitious product refresh agenda and roadmap, this role will form a key part of the ICS Charge Cards and Benefits Partnerships team’s success.

In this role, you’ll be the voice of the customer, delivering an optimum value proposition, whilst concurrently delivering long-term product profitability via sustainable product economics and upholding our brand values. You will have a team of one Assistant Manager.

  • Develop the consumer charge card product strategy to ensure market fit, differentiation, and compelling customer value
  • Execute product refreshes, benefit launches and special projects - partnering with functional teams
  • Maximise the Product P&L through a combination of growth and margin enhancement
  • Drive Net Promoter Score and be proactive in protecting our brand
  • Manage and maintain strong relationships with third party vendors and partners, maximizing partner sourced value and proven experience in driving favourable commercial outcomes.
  • Partner with Brand and Experiences team to develop premium experiential value levers which promote emotional product value.
  • Full Consumer Charge Card budget management and forecasting, including marketing funds and cost of card member benefits
  • Ensure high standard of product compliance, identifying and addressing any operational or regulatory risk
  • Conduct regular portfolio performance analysis across the card portfolio to identify profitable products and segments as well as identify untapped growth segments
  • Establish a strong customer management strategy and close effective partnership with our servicing and risk/credit teams
  • Partner with Premium Products COE (centre of excellence) to both share and take best practices
  • Analyse market research and segmentation to assess customer attitudes to our products and potential for partnerships
  • Ongoing analysis and reporting of competitive trends, threats and opportunities
  • Liaise with the internal marketing and acquisition teams regarding product positioning, promotions, and go to market execution of campaigns
  • Close working relationship with servicing teams across Card, Risk, Credit and Travel and Concierge Experiences ensuring premium customer experience
  • Lead, coach and develop one Assistant Manager
  • Strategic thinker and self-starter with strong problem-solving and collaboration skills
  • Strong commercial acumen, including ability to identify and size business opportunities
  • Project management experience with discipline to manage multiple projects running concurrently
  • Team player who is flexible and maintains a positive attitude even during changing work priorities
  • Track record of execution in spite of roadblocks
  • Analytically minded with the ability to turn data and research into actionable insights Customer advocate with a pulse of trends shaping demand
  • Understanding of Amex products and competitive landscape
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills to influence at all levels
  • Strong people leader
  • Understanding of internal systems and marketing platforms
  • Experience in developing premium offerings in lifestyle, brand or experiences is advantageous.
