Job Description:
At Regions, the Technical Analyst reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming including encoding, testing, debugging and installing to support applications and systems. This position participates in the design and development of various applications and systems.
Primary Responsibilities
- Supports the daily administration of applications and systems including but not limited to customization of objects, fields, record types, sharing rules, page layouts, validation rules, custom settings, and flows
- Assists with obtaining business requirements, designing project plans, and ensuring applications are meeting end-user needs
- Designs, develops, tests, debugs, and maintains application customizations (including integrations)
- Monitors routine and critical processes and workflows
- Performs root cause analysis and provides technical solutions to production related application errors
- Identifies issues and drives their resolution during the analysis, design, and testing phases
- Assists with creating and maintaining application support documentation on processes and configurations
- Coordinates with necessary teams throughout the application design and development process
- Continuously seeks opportunities for knowledge development
- Works under direct supervision, maintaining communication with senior administrators to effectively support operations
- Ensures compliance with risk management programs, rules and regulations, and cybersecurity practices; identifies opportunities for and supports process improvements; applies disciplined change management practices
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in related field

Additional Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders, product owners, and development teams.
- Gather, analyze, document, and refine business and technical requirements.
- Create and maintain user stories, acceptance criteria, process documentation, and defect records in Jira.
- Analyze system workflows, data flows, integrations, and application functionality to support solution design.
- Collaborate with developers to clarify requirements and validate technical solutions.
- Capture user feedback, identify gaps, and recommend process or system improvements.
- Develop, execute, and document test scenarios, test scripts, and validation results.
- Support defect triage, issue resolution, root cause analysis, and regression testing.
- Validate system enhancements and ensure delivered solutions meet business requirements.
- Assist with reporting, metrics, and Jira dashboard development as needed.
Required Skills:
- Experience with Jira, including user story creation, backlog management, and defect tracking.
- Strong requirements gathering and documentation skills.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with software testing and quality assurance processes.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with workflow automation, integrations, or API-based applications.
- Basic SQL and data analysis skills.
- Experience supporting enterprise applications and system enhancements.
- Scrum, Business Analysis, or Agile-related certifications preferred.
This position is intended to be onsite, now or in the near future. Associates will have regular work hours, including full days in the office three or more days a week. The manager will set the work schedule for this position, including in-office expectations. Regions will not provide relocation assistance for this position, and relocation would be at your expense. This position must be within a reasonable driving distance to Birmingham, AL, Atlanta, GA or Charlotte, NC.

Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
