What You Will Do: 

The People Experience Lead will serve as a strategic and operational leader responsible for designing, shaping, and delivering a differentiated, end-to-end employee experience across Guidehouse, from onboarding through offboarding. This role will identify and address friction points, apply data and journey mapping insights, and lead enterprise-wide initiatives that strengthen engagement, improve retention, and enhance overall employee satisfaction. The People Experience Lead will partner across Human Capital, business leadership, and corporate functions to deliver a consistent, high-quality experience aligned with firm priorities and long-term growth objectives

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the Employee Experience Strategy

  • Define and lead the enterprise-wide employee experience strategy aligned to business outcomes, retention, and engagement

  • Design and implement end-to-end employee journey mapping across the full lifecycle (hire to retire)

  • Develop and evolve the employee value proposition, ensuring alignment with Guidehouse culture and priorities

  • Partner with HC leaders, business units, and corporate leadership to align experience initiatives with firm strategy

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leaders on employee engagement, experience design, and culture

Drive Excellence in People Experience Delivery

  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact employee experience initiatives across onboarding, development, and offboarding

  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data (e.g., surveys, feedback, retention metrics) to inform continuous improvement

  • Oversee engagement measurement efforts (e.g., GPTW surveys, internal feedback loops) and drive action planning with business leaders

  • Identify and address gaps in the employee experience, recommending and implementing actionable solutions

  • Foster a culture of inclusion, belonging, and well-being across the employee base

  • Influence peers and senior leaders to adopt best practices in employee experience

Transform Experience through Data, Insights & Continuous Improvement

  • Build and scale a data-driven approach to employee experience, including metrics, dashboards, and reporting on engagement and retention

  • Diagnose friction points through journey mapping, surveys, and crowdsourced insights, and translate findings into prioritized actions

  • Drive continuous improvement across key experience moments, including onboarding, integration, development, and transition

  • Lead enterprise communication of experience insights, progress, and impact to stakeholders

  • Ensure alignment with labor laws, internal policies, and organizational standards

  • Support change management efforts tied to employee experience transformation initiatives

What You Will Need

  • 15+ years of experience in HR, People Strategy, or organizational leadership roles

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, organizational development or design, or a related field.

  • Proven experience leading employee experience, journey mapping, or experience design initiatives

  • Strong ability to interpret and act on qualitative and quantitative data to drive outcomes

  • Experience building and leading teams in global, large, complex organizations

  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and drive cross-functional alignment

  • Track record of improving employee engagement, retention, and satisfaction

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills

  • Deep understanding of employee experience and engagement best practices

  • Commitment to inclusion, and belonging

  • This is a hybrid position and candidates must be located within 50 miles of a Guidehouse office. Preferred locations are in the greater Washington, DC, Chicago, IL, and San Antonio, TX areas.

What Would Be Nice to Have

  • Experience in global or multi-geography organizations

  • Background in change management or organizational development

  • Experience with survey design, analytics, and employee listening tools

  • Ability to scale experience programs across large, complex populations

  • Familiarity with digital tools supporting engagement, feedback, and experience design

The annual salary range for this position is $226,000.00-$376,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
