eBay, Inc. seeks Software Engineer 3 in Bellevue, WA
What you will accomplish:
Job Duties: Design and develop highly scalable, resilient, and highly available distributed software applications, tools, extensible APIs, frameworks, highly maintainable services and machine learning models on constantly evolving business requirements. Optimize and enhance high availability, low latency data platform. Develop automated tests to perform unit, integration, and End to End testing. Conceptualize, brainstorm, code, and continuously integrate and deliver innovative prototypes. Analyze project requirements, create clear documentation, and connect with teams to reach efficient solutions. Collaborate closely with peers, Architects, Product Managers, Business Analysts, and Operations teams to develop innovative solutions that meet functional and non-functional standards and expectations. Participate in the development, testing, release, triage, bug fix, documentation and rest of the cycles in product development and maintenance. Estimate engineering efforts, plan implementations, and rollout feature changes. Participate in the continuous improvement of Shipping products to achieve enhanced customer experiences. Partial telecommuting permitted from a commutable distance.
What you will bring:
Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field.
Special Skill Requirements:
1. Designing and implementing efficient software solutions using data structures and algorithms to solve performance-sensitive problems.
2. Developing applications using object-oriented programming principles, primarily in Java.
3. Working with relational and document-based databases for data modeling, storage, and retrieval.
4. Analyzing and processing large datasets using distributed data principles.
5. Applying fundamental machine learning techniques to derive insights from data, where applicable.
6. Building secure and reliable systems with an emphasis on data privacy and software security.
7. Developing dashboards and visualizations to support decision-making and analytics workflows.
Salary: $149,240.00-229,600.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Additional Details
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
