Job Description
The Quality Engineer will be responsible for learning how the case processing system ("Orbit") works and using its admin interface to build, maintain and enhance its software configurations. This work involves getting and understanding detailed requirements from our business partners (the internal U.S. Bank employees/analysts who use the software to manage their daily work) and enhancing existing or building new case layouts and/or business-process workflows for Orbit case processing. This work involves (for example) detailed process mapping, case layout (UX/UI) design, process improvement suggestions, data field reorganization, and implementing necessary gates and actions on workflows. Business process mapping and UX/UI design experience is essential, as is high attention to detail; understanding of JSON data language helpful, as all the Orbit configuration files are ultimately exported/imported in JSON format. This position could also be responsible for regression testing of case layouts and process flows in Orbit and releasing fully tested solutions into production environment. This position may also be responsible for the maintenance of customer-facing correspondence in the AEM (Adobe Experience Manager) Forms Designer software. As time allows, configuration work may be supplemented with functional and regression testing of Orbit code and test automation. Also, given training to be provided by our on-shore engineers, the Quality Engineer may be expected to accept and acknowledge Incidents for our application in ServiceNow, then "triage" the Incidents and resolve failure scenarios within the skill and authorization of this incumbent, and to otherwise escalate Incidents to on-shore engineers within established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
