How will you make an impact?

The Molding Quality Technician ensures the quality of molded components and processes, maintaining compliance with specifications and standards during the assigned shift. This role involves inspecting products, troubleshooting issues, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the molding department.

Shift B: Mon, Tues, Fri, Sat Week 1, then Sun, Weds and Thurs Week 2. 7pm-7am

How will you make an impact?


* Perform in-process and final inspections of molded parts according to established quality control plans, blueprints, and specifications.
* Utilize various measurement tools and equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, gauges) to verify product dimensions and characteristics.
* Identify and document non-conforming materials or products, initiating appropriate corrective actions and containment procedures.
* Collaborate with production personnel and engineering to investigate root causes of quality defects and implement effective solutions.
* Monitor and control critical molding process parameters to ensure consistent product quality.
* Conduct first-piece approvals and provide feedback to molding operators.
* Maintain accurate quality records, inspection logs, and documentation in accordance with company procedures.
* Participate in internal audits and support external audit activities as required.
* Contribute to the development and improvement of quality control procedures and work instructions.
* Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.

How will you get here?

* High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
* 2+ years of experience in quality control, preferably within a plastic injection molding environment.
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and quality specifications.
* Demonstrated ability to use a variety of precision measuring instruments.
* Strong understanding of quality control principles and methodologies (e.g., SPC, FMEA, 8D).
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation abilities.
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
* Ability to work the B shift schedule

The hourly pay range for this role is $21.73 - $39.13. Job-related, non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity.
