The successful candidate will perform Hardware Configuration Management tasks within Engineering, including the fundamentals of Configuration Management: identification, change management, status accounting, audit, and verification.
Under direct supervision and given specific direction, the successful candidate will be responsible for executing Hardware Configuration Management activities per the Configuration Data Management Plan and BAE Systems policies and procedures. The HCM will become adept at managing the change process and ensuring that all changes go through appropriate change boards. This position also entails:
- Using software applications to document the configuration status accounting (CSA) data and maintain the data in a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system
- Providing support for the establishment of a Configuration Control Board in accordance with project milestones
- Maintaining a status accounting process, including preparation and maintenance of a Configuration Item Verification Record (CIVR) that reflects current status of the end items for hardware
- Providing necessary interface and communication with customers, subcontractors and hardware areas within program groups and the various company functional elements supporting the program group
- Utilizing computer skills to prepare appropriate reports and documents
- Making decisions using sound judgment while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations
- Analyzing, evaluating, developing and implementing processes and systems within budget and adhere to time requirements and schedule
- Designing and developing products and services using state-of-the-art technology, principles, theories and concepts
- May have responsibility for providing hardware metrics

This role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, therefore it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely. This position qualifies for the Flex Work or Remote work arrangement. This means you may work remotely for up to 50% of the work week with the remainder of the work week being worked on-site. Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Strong Microsoft Office Skills
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Experience exhibiting sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating and negotiating with company personnel, customers and suppliers
- US citizen, eligible for a DoD Secret Security Clearance
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Two or more years related experience
- Active Secret clearance
- Familiarity with SAE ANSI/EIA-649B Configuration Management Standards
- Experience working with government contracts
- Experience with basic computer applications, databases, operating systems, and hardware
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $61820 - $105050
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
