For the expansion of our investment activities in Brazil, we are looking for a highly motivated Associate / Senior Officer to join our Investment Management team in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The role will focus on the origination, assessment, structuring, execution and monitoring of debt and equity investment transactions in Brazil, with a focus on corporate and real asset-related investment opportunities, particularly within sustainable agriculture, sustainable food production, forestry and timber, eco-tourism and the wider decarbonization-related sectors.
The successful candidate will work closely with local and international teams throughout the full investment cycle and contribute to the evaluation, execution and management of complex investment opportunities and portfolio assets.
English is the company’s working language but (Brazilian) Portuguese is required in the local context.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the origination, assessment, structuring and execution of investment transactions in Brazil.
- Perform detailed financial analysis, credit analysis, financial modeling and risk assessment of potential investments and counterparties.
- Build and maintain investment models, including DCF, IRR, scenario and sensitivity analyses.
- Support on- and off-site due diligence processes, including the organization of due diligence exercises, financial analysis and preparation of investment proposals and investment committee materials.
- Develop analyses on operating environments, sectors and counterparties as part of the investment origination, execution and monitoring cycles.
- Translate key business and operational drivers into robust underwriting assumptions and investment cases.
- Support transaction execution processes in coordination with internal stakeholders and external advisors.
- Monitor existing investments based on financial reports, portfolio performance, covenant compliance and client interactions.
- Support relationship management activities, including the processing of covenant waivers, amendments and ad-hoc client requests, where applicable.
- Prepare internal and external reporting related to investments, portfolio performance and market developments.
- Conduct market and sector research to support investment decision-making processes.
What we expect:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
- Master’s degree in finance or professional qualifications (e.g. CFA) are a plus.
- 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in investment management, structured finance, corporate finance, private equity, investment banking, capital markets, credit analysis or related areas.
- Strong experience in financial modeling, underwriting and investment analysis.
- Experience supporting or executing investment transactions, due diligence processes and transaction structuring activities.
- Solid understanding of corporate investments, financial statements analysis and risk assessment methodologies.
- Experience in carbon credit related fields would be highly advantageous.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
