The Office of Undergraduate Admissions and Outreach partners with USC Enrollment Services to recruit, engage, and enroll talented first-year and transfer students while providing leadership for outreach, scholarship, and enrollment initiatives. Our team develops and implements year-round recruitment, conversion, and communications strategies through on-campus, virtual, domestic, and international programs.

Position Summary

The Senior Associate Director is a collaborative admissions professional who serves as a generalist across the Undergraduate Admissions and Outreach team while providing primary leadership for USC and Marshall's undergraduate merit scholarship programs.

This position balances strategic planning with day-to-day execution and contributes to recruitment, outreach, enrollment planning, communications, events, scholarship administration, and special projects supporting undergraduate enrollment goals.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Participate in all aspects of undergraduate recruitment, outreach, enrollment planning, and conversion activities.
  • Lead the planning, administration, and continuous improvement of Marshall's undergraduate merit scholarship programs and student selection processes.
  • Develop and implement recruitment, outreach, and yield initiatives supporting first-year and transfer enrollment.
  • Represent USC Marshall through recruitment events, information sessions, counselor programs, and admissions travel.
  • Collaborate with faculty, Enrollment Services, and campus partners to support strategic enrollment initiatives.
  • Analyze admissions, scholarship, and enrollment data to inform planning and assess program effectiveness.
  • Coordinate communications, presentations, recruitment events, and special projects.
  • Assist with training student employees and new staff, as appropriate.
  • Perform additional duties and special assignments in support of departmental priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; Advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience in higher education admissions, enrollment management, student affairs, or a related field.
  • Experience in selective college admissions or business education preferred.
  • Experience managing merit scholarship programs or competitive student selection processes.
  • Demonstrated success managing programs, projects, or strategic initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships across a complex organization.
  • Experience with Slate, Salesforce, Microsoft Office, Teams, or similar enterprise systems.
  • Knowledge of FERPA and higher education best practices.
  • Commitment to inclusive, student-centered service.

Anticipated Hiring Range

The annual base salary range for this position is $81,329.00 - $114,500.00. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree
Minimum Experience: 3 years
