As a Senior Software Designer, you will play a leading role in designing and developing the software that powers Ericsson’s licensing and entitlement capabilities. You will work in an international environment, collaborating closely with a cross-functional-agile team to build scalable, secure and robust services that enable efficient license management and usage control across Ericsson products.Beyond hands-on design, you will act as a technical reference representing a small team of engineers, guiding day-to-day work, ensuring technical alignment and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaborative problem solving. The team works according to Lean and Agile principles and values knowledge sharing at every stage.If you are an experienced cloud-native engineer ready to take ownership of architecture decisions and team delivery, we encourage you to apply.What You Will DoArchitecture & DesignDefine complete end-to-end cloud-native architectures that meet functional, performance and scalability requirementsAnalyze application footprint and assess resource consumption, infrastructure requirements and capacity sizingDetermine scalability constraints and define appropriate sizing strategies for compute, storage and networkingDesign and document comprehensive cloud-native solutions, ensuring alignment with product and engineering standardsEngineering & DeliveryAnalyze requirements and identify practical opportunities for software features and intelligent automationDesign, implement and test cloud-native components, services and data pipelinesBuild and maintain containerized applications and CI/CD pipelinesIntegrate modern software capabilities — including data processing, monitoring and automation tooling — where relevant to product needsTroubleshoot complex issues, support integration activities and produce clear, maintainable product documentationContribute to product lifecycle activities and to the evolution of standards, guidelines and best practicesStay current with emerging technologies and proactively propose improvements to products and processesTeam CoordinationCoordinate and provide technical direction to a small team of software engineers supporting planning, prioritization and workload distribution across team membersAct as a mentor and technical escalation point, promoting quality, consistency and growth within the teamCollaborate closely with product owners, SW designers and cross-functional stakeholdersYou Will BringExperience & EducationBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experienceA minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud-native software engineering or design rolesA minimum of 2 years of experience in team coordination or technical leadershipTechnical SkillsStrong, proven experience in end-to-end cloud-native software design and architectureDemonstrated ability to evaluate performance, scalability and capacity sizing for distributed systemsProficiency in performing footprint analysis to estimate compute, storage and networking needsStrong programming skills in Python, Go or Java, with familiarity in scripting languages such as BashSolid hands-on experience with cloud-native platforms and container technologies, including Kubernetes and DockerDeep understanding of software design principles, distributed architecture patterns and object-oriented designExperience with CI/CD tooling, automation frameworks and agile product development practicesPractical knowledge of AI/ML concepts; experience with model development, LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation or...
