Role responsibilities

The Director will develop and implement the strategic plan for conservation and preservation research and education programs at the Museum Conservation Institute. They will provide leadership and direction for various conservation programs and oversee research activities to ensure alignment with institutional goals.

Requirements

Candidates must have a degree in physical science, engineering, or mathematics with specific coursework in physical science. Additionally, one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-15 level is required, focusing on managing a collections-based research organization.
