The Berger Foundation Iceplex supports a wide range of hockey development programs, from learn-to-play through adult leagues, with a strong focus on safety, inclusion, and player experience. Responsibilities Assist with on-ice instruction for hockey classes, practices, and clinicsSupport lead coaches during group sessions and eventsMaintain attendance and assist with basic skill evaluationsEnsure a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all participantsCommunicate Iceplex rules, procedures, and expectations to players and parentsPrepare equipment and assist with maintaining a safe on-ice environmentProvide basic first aid when requiredFollow all Iceplex and USA Hockey safety standardsPerform other duties as assigned by the Hockey Department Qualifications Valid USA Hockey membershipUSA Hockey SafeSport certificationAbility to skate proficiently and demonstrate basic hockey skillsAbility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as neededStrong communication skills and ability to work with participants of all agesAbility to lift heavy objects and work in a physically active environmentPreferred QualificationsPrior coaching, teaching, or youth program experienceFirst Aid and CPR certificationExperience assisting with hockey practices or clinicsWorking ConditionsAbility to work in an on-ice and rink-side environment with exposure to cold temperatures and physical activity Strengthened by our Differences.
